SL MOTOR EVENTS

RACEWARS RULES + REGULATIONS
Make sure yourself that the machine or vehicle you are using has safe tyres (and suitable air valves) fitted for the conditions of surface and speed likely to be met at the track. Should any vehicle be declared as being unfit at the time of technical inspection (scrutineering) the owner will be allowed to make necessary alterations or repairs.


CARS

Racewars driver eligibility Open to drivers who are 18 and older and holders of a full DVLA licence. Drivers that do not hold a current DVLA licence will need permission from the Clerk of the Course to take part. These drivers will be required to demonstrate vehicle competence and perform observed runs under the direction of the Clerk of the Course before full power passes are made. Failure to follow instruction will result in exclusion from the event – no refund of entry fee shall be given. Racewars machine eligibility. All Racewars vehicles must be presented for Technical Control (scrutineering) inspection.


MOTORCYCLES
Rider eligibility Open to riders who are holders of a full or provisional DVLA licence. Riders who do not hold a current DVLA licence will require permission to register for an event from the Clerk of the Course prior to signing on. These riders will be required to demonstrate vehicle competence and perform observed runs under the direction of the Clerk of the Course before . Racewars machine eligibility All Racewars vehicles must be produced for Technical Control (scrutineering) inspection.This is a basic listing guide as to what will be required for a machine from the road to be taken on to any track at a Racewars event. Modified Bikes must comply with event regulations especially the rules for heavily modified competition or racing bikes.
1. The machine must be free from all obvious fluid leaks.
2. A number issued by the organisers must be displayed on the machine, to enable identification.
3. All stands must be wired or taped up.
4. A chain guard covering the top run of the chain must be fitted.


RACEWARS TECHNICAL CONTROL FOR CARS
1. The vehicle must be free from all obvious fluid leaks.
2. A number issued by the organisers must be displayed on the vehicle, to enable identification.
3. The battery must be secure.
4. The ignition switch, or power on switch, must be clearly and boldly identified.
5. All wheel nuts and locking nuts should be tight and none are to be missing.
6. Complete seat and seatbelt(s) should be secure.
Rider personal protective equipment Back protectors are highly recommended for all riders. Full leathers are highly recommended in all Classes although two piece leathers are permitted these must be of high quality. Each part of the zip must be securely attached to the jacket or the trousers (not stretch panels) respectively and the suit must zip together over at least 75% of the waist band and jacket. Full leathers are compulsory for all riders competing on motorcycles capable of speeds above 100 mph. All classes to wear leather motorcycle boots that offer above the ankle protection and are securely fitted, full leather gloves and helmet. A visor must be used at all times when racing. All riding kit must be presented in good condition for inspection at scrutineering. Equipment that is taped up or poorly repaired will be rejected. Driver Personal Protection Clothing- covering from the neck downwards including arms to wrist, torso and legs to ankles. Crash Helmet - open face (with goggles in a closed cockpit vehicle) or full face (with fitted visor in an open cockpit vehicle) with MSUK approval. NOTE: Motocross type helmets are not accepted in any vehicle. Competition cars and bikes must comply with the class rules for their type of vehicle in place at the time of the event entered. Driving kit must always be presented in a good clean condition for inspection at scrutineering. All Driver Personal Protective Safety All equipment that is taped up or poorly repaired, will be rejected.


GENERAL Q+A
What time does it start? Gates Open to Competitors and Show Vehicles at 9am

What time is it open for the Public? Gates Open to the Public at 11am

Can Show Cars Leave Early? NO, We have a strict insurance policy that does not allow any moving vehicles, please do no enter if you cannot stay until 5pm Both Days

Do we have to leave our Cars Overnight? No it is not necessary but you can leave it overnight if you wish, and just like any other carpark it is at owners risk.

Can we Camp? NO, due to previous events held there is no camping allowed at the Airport (Unless You are a Competitor Drag Racing)

Do you accept Card? Yes however please bring cash as the huge crowd expected our card machines may stop working

This is a Family run event for Families so please come and enjoy yourselves at the Event
